Dr. Nancy Younan is an experienced comprehensive ophthalmologist who completed her medical degree at the University of NSW. She completed her specialist ophthalmology training at The Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. Following her training she undertook a clinical ophthalmology fellowship at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the United Kingdom.
She worked in Tasmania for a number of years and was a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the Mersey Public Hospital, and North West Regional Hospital. As a consultant, she participated in public cataract waiting list initiatives in the North West Region of Tasmania and provided rural ophthalmology services. Dr Younan has also performed charitable cataract surgery in India.
She has held a consultant ophthalmology position at Bankstown-Lidcombe public hospital , where she was involved with ophthalmology registrar supervision and training. She has had multiple medical publications in peer reviewed journals. Dr Younan enjoys the scope and breadth of ophthalmology. She enjoys treating people of all ages. She performs intravitreal injections for conditions such as macular degeneration and diabetes.
