Dr Nicole Lim is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist with a sub-speciality interest in glaucoma. With a calm demeanour and commitment to education, she prioritizes clear communication with both patients and referring clinicians, ensuring the highest standard of patient-centred care. She believes in tailoring management plans to each patient’s unique circumstances, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.


She has completed two clinical glaucoma sub-speciality fellowships, at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand and The Bristol Eye Hospital in the United Kingdom. Through these fellowships, she has developed expertise in managing complex glaucoma cases and performing advanced glaucoma surgeries, including filtration and revision procedures, Preserflo Micro-shunt and tube surgeries, minimally invasive glaucoma treatments (MIGS), and complex cataract surgery.


Dr Lim serves as a staff specialist at Prince of Wales Public Hospital. She also provides outreach services as a visiting medical officer to Broken Hill Hospital and the remote communities of Cobar and Bourke, in Far West NSW, as a part of the Outback Eye Service, a program affiliated with Prince of Wales Hospital and the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).


Dr Lim earned her undergraduate degree in medicine through the University of Newcastle. Driven by a passion for global and equitable healthcare, she furthered her studies with a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney during her internship years. She completed her vocational training in Ophthalmology through the Prince of Wales training program in NSW.


Dr Lim consults at Hurstville and Miranda and operates at Kogarah Private Hospital.
